DESCRIPTION: Homework Hotline provides free tutoring by phone in six languages: Arabic, Spanish, Somali, Swahili, Kurdish, and English. Tutoring is available Monday – Thursday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, during the school year. Tutoring is available by calling 298-6636 or toll free to 888 868.5777.
Teachers and agencies: posters and flyers are available in five languages. Email requests to the address above for electronic copies or come by for posters, homework tips sheets or stickers.
ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY: We provide services to any Tennessee student. Homework Hotline is staffed by professional certified teachers and has been providing free tutoring since 1990. The program has provided more than 460,000 sessions of tutoring.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In 2012-13, 3,496 sessions of tutoring were provided to 1,009 English language learners. Calls from English learners account for about 20% of Hotline’s calls. Each year Hotline provides nearly 20,000 sessions of free tutoring.
