Offers classes in citizenship preparation, computer literacy, ESL, and refugee/immigrant student empowerment.
Conexión Américas Parents As Partners
Nine-week program mentors Latino parents on becoming engaged in their children’s education and reclaiming their role as their child’s first, and most important, teacher.
Offers after-school/summer programming, assembly performances, multicultural integration teacher training, and fitness and art classes that encourage cross-cultural understanding and inclusivity.
Nashville Adult Literacy Council
Offers classes and one-on-one tutoring in adult literacy, an English language learning program for immigrants 18+, and citizenship preparation classes.
Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) Adult Education
Offers classes in ELL, citizenship preparation, GED preparation, workforce preparation, cultural integration, and more. Also offers a youth culture exchange program for resettled refugee children.
Progreso Community Center / Centro Comunitario Progreso
Offers ESL classes, health education and fitness classes, computer training, social activism and more for Hispanic immigrant families.
Tennessee Foreign Language Institute (TFLI)
Offers language instruction, translation and interpretation services for non-English speakers, professional development for interpreters, translators and language instructors, and cultural awareness programs for state employees, the business community, foreign language educators, and the public.
